Hong Kong Wetland Park

We took a trip to the Hong Kong Wetland Park. I wasn't sure what to really expect. It was a good day for the kids. The indoor areas had a lot to see and do.

There were tanks with wetland water creatures that included a giant snake and a crocodile (found Shan Pui River). The environmental issues area showed the issues through interactive games. A side of the building that faces the wetland is completely make of glass so that you can use their free telescopes to view the wetlands and the city of Shenzhen, China.

The outdoor areas are filled with board walks and paved paths great for strollers, which we didn't bring (yes, that was a brilliant idea not to, we know). There are different plants and flowers to see and many different kinds of birds as well. It's fairly new and the design of the place reflects it. If you do get there earlier, there are many free children programs throughout the Wetland Park's main building and stations spread around the wetland park.
